Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, can you help?

I would like to stay at the Hard Rock for my anniversary but its a little pricey for me. If any one knows of ways to get a discount or if some one who works there could hook me up I'll pay you $50 for helping (as long as you weren't giving me just a $50 discount because then it would still cost the same). I like the Moonstone Studio best, well not best but I don't want to ask for to much unless your willing to give then I will happily take. Any room will be fine though. I want to try to keep it at $200 for the room. Or if any one knows some hip looking places to stay that are not to expensive in the Gaslamp area that would be helpful as well. Thank you!

I stayed at the hardrock and it wasn't worth it at all. The staff was terrible and the room was mediocre. I also stayed at the www.thekeating.com The Keating Hotel which is a boutique down the street and it rocked!
