Mexican Fire Opal
What is natural "moonlight opal"? Is it white mexican fire opal or some other naturally ocurring opal?
I have heard different explanations for this stone. It is beautiful, it is definitely not the glass "sea opal", or opalite, and what I have found looks to be more like white Mexican fire opal, although I have not seen any actual fire in the moonlight opal, only a warm glow. Is this a natural stone, and what are its actual geological qualities?
I believe Moonlight Opal is a regular white opal mixed with Mica, it adds a relflective quality to the Opal, a soft moonlike glow.
I believe it is also a natural occuring stone and geological qualities, I am not sure of.
