I want a Pearl Engagement Ring, but it seems like EVERY online interactive ring builder only allows you to put in Diamonds and has no other options for center stones. Any websites you've found that allow for a Pearl?

Use the builders to find a mount you like, and then ask the jeweler to order it and place a gem of your choice as the center stone. Or, as Rochelle said, many jewelry stores do custom shows where you can choose a mount and a gem and watch them create the piece.

Also having sold jewelry for years, I would also recommend using a different gem. Pearls are typically set with a special type of glue instead of being set by metal like diamonds are, and are one of the easiest gems to damage. You would almost certainly expect to have to replace the pearl at LEAST a few times as a result of loss or damage.

The number is etched into the girdle of the diamond (which is the “rim between the flatter top and the pointed bottom”) and is proof-positive that the diamond is legitimately a Canadian diamond.

Again, while diamond mining and production practices have improved a great amount in past years, the extra piece of mind obtained from buying a Canadian diamond can make all the difference for someone who still has questions or concerns about typical diamonds that are mined in the usual places and could potentially be in league with those who have questionable business practices. why does it seem like square cut diamond rings costs more than the round cuts?
I want a square cut solitaire diamond ring for xmas and my bf is getting one for me but within a budget of around $300. I was wondering why all the round shaped ones cost so much less than the square ones. Also any tips in choosing the right ring? I don't like gold but silver or white gold is fine. And his budget of around $300 is only because this is more of a promise ring and we've only been together for a little over a year. Thanks for all the input.

When you go to the jeweler look at the round stone particularly at the bottom you will see a lot of cuts, then look at the bottom of a square diamond, there are far less cuts. this would lead one to believe that since there are more cuts on the bottom of the round stone than the the square one it would be more expensive, but the actual case is that since the square stone doesn't have that many cuts means it is a higher quality stone with way fewer defects that can't be hidden as you can with a round stone.
