I live in NYC, and yesterday I was referred by a friend to visit a jeweler he knows, who sells retail, not wholesale. I went to visit the jeweler and asked him how much $10,000 would get me, to which he replied" You might be able to get a carat, maybe smaller, with imperfections and a slight yellow color".
